Hurricane Helene left many pets in need, but thanks to the quick actions of Brother Wolf Animal Rescue (BWAR), the ASPCA, and the Humane Society of Charlotte (HSC), 44 dogs and cats were safely relocated. BWAR’s shelter was hit hard by flooding, but with the help of local foster homes, ASPCA’s Spay/Neuter Alliance, and HSC, these pets are now receiving care and preparing for adoption. BWAR continues to transport animals to safe locations, including MSPCA-Angell in Boston.
The ASPCA also evacuated over 30 dogs from their Behavior Rehabilitation Center to ensure their ongoing treatment in Ohio. This mission reflects the power of teamwork, as they help pets recover and find new homes even in the face of disaster.
To support these efforts, please consider donating to BWAR, the Humane Society of Charlotte, or the ASPCA. Every contribution makes a difference in ensuring these pets have a safe and happy future. Visit their websites to learn more about how you can help!
